Priestess Sitamun keeps the temple of Hathor at Serabit el-Khadim, high in the Sinai. The miners say the goddess has stopped smiling. (Requires A Stranger in Men-nefer, Devotion 25 and Stonework 30.)
- Stage 1
Sitamun says turquoise is the smile of Hathor, Lady of Turquoise, and the veins of Serabit have gone grey since mefkat beetles overran the galleries. They eat turquoise. I should clear eight of them out.
To do: Kill 8 × Mefkat beetleUpdated by talking to Priestess Sitamun - Stage 2
The galleries are clear of mefkat beetles. Sitamun will want to know.
- Stage 3
Sitamun wants an offering to wake the goddess's smile: a jug of beer, a loaf of bread, and three turquoise chips (the beetles leave plenty). Hathor, she says, is not a cheap date.

The offering was made, and by morning the veins of Serabit glowed blue again. Sitamun blessed a miner's pick for me, and says the goddess will remember my face.
