Walkthrough

The quest journal, step by step.

1. Start

   Expedition-leader Henenu is gathering a caravan in the Coptos market, and glaring east at the desert road. (Requires A Stranger in Men-nefer and Wayfaring 25.)

2. Stage 1

   Henenu is taking an expedition along the Wadi Hammamat road to Port Mersa on the Red Sea, but word is the wells on the road have failed. He wants me to go ahead to the Wadi Hammamat Mine, east of Coptos, and find out why.

3. Stage 2

   I've reached the Wadi Hammamat Mine. Well-keeper Rensi should know what happened to the wells.

4. Stage 3

   Rensi says raiders have been filling the wells with sand, so caravans must buy water from them at their price. I should drive off six of the raiders along the Hammamat road.

5. Stage 4

   The raiders are scattered. I should tell Well-keeper Rensi.

6. Stage 5

   Rensi has dug out the wells and given me his tally, one notch for every well that runs sweet again. Henenu will want it, back in Coptos.

7. Complete

   The road of Min runs sweet again and Henenu's caravan has set out for the Red Sea. Min, lord of the desert roads, has noticed me: he'll answer my prayers, as he answers the caravan guards'.
