Walkthrough

The quest journal, step by step.

1. Start

   A foreign envoy in a red-and-blue kilt is waiting by the river east of the Memphis palace. (Requires A Stranger in Men-nefer and Wayfaring 50.)

2. Stage 1

   Akashau of Keftiu brought his island's gifts to Pharaoh, and his ship sailed home without him. Keftiu ships call at Byblos and Gaza in the Levant. He gave me his sealstone to show Captain Rusa at Byblos Harbour (use it on him).

3. Stage 2

   Rusa knows Akashau's seal, but no Keftiu captain sails with an empty hold. Egyptian linen sells well on Keftiu: he wants five bolts of linen.

4. Stage 3

   Rusa will carry me to Keftiu, or his cousin Pinaruta will from Gaza Harbour. Akashau asked me to tell his wife Adinai, harbour-mistress of Kommos, that he is alive. I should board a Keftiu ship and find her at Keftiu Harbour.

5. Complete

   I sailed to Keftiu and gave Adinai her husband's news. The Keftiu ships will carry me between Keftiu Harbour and Byblos or Gaza whenever I like.
