Walkthrough

The quest journal, step by step.

1. Start

   Neferhor, an envoy of Pharaoh, is pacing the edge of Sanam with a list. (Requires Ropes for the Fourth Cataract.)

2. Stage 1

   Pharaoh wants a giraffe. Neferhor must bring one north as tribute, and he is terrified of them. He wants me to tempt one with a bundle of acacia browse, cut from acacia logs with a knife (Handicraft 30).

3. Stage 2

   I have a bundle of acacia browse. I should use it on a giraffe: they graze the Butana, east of Meroe.

4. Stage 3

   A giraffe followed me all the way to Sanam, eating the browse and then my patience. I should tell Neferhor.

5. Complete

   The giraffe ate Neferhor's wig, his list and a corner of Pharaoh's letter, and then knelt for him. He says it's the finest tribute Egypt has had in years. He is still shaking a little.
