Walkthrough

The quest journal, step by step.

1. Start

   Captain Penhet of Joppa is glaring at a grain-merchant's baskets as if they might get up and walk. (Requires Letters of Clay and Warfare 58.)

2. Stage 1

   Penhet's great-grandfather, General Djehuty, took Joppa by hiding two hundred soldiers in baskets. Now a grain-merchant called Shuwardata has brought fifty baskets into the market, and Penhet swears they're too heavy for barley. I should talk to Shuwardata in the Joppa market.

3. Stage 2

   Shuwardata ran, and the baskets burst open: red-robed men of the Coil, folded up inside them. I need to put down five of the Coil infiltrators in Joppa.

   To do: Kill 5 × Coil infiltratorUpdated by talking to Shuwardata the grain-merchant
4. Stage 3

   The infiltrators are dealt with. One of them should be carrying orders: I should search them for papers.

   To do: Get Serpent-sealed docket
5. Stage 4

   I have a docket sealed with a coiled serpent. I should take it to Captain Penhet.

6. Complete

   The docket names Byblos and Ugarit: the Coil wants cedar 'for the barque that sails by night' and 'all the tin' for its smiths. Penhet gave me his great-grandfather's mace.
