Walkthrough

The quest journal, step by step.

1. Start

   Abimilku, master-dyer of Tyre, is sniffing an empty vat. (Requires A Stranger in Men-nefer, Handicraft 55 and Marshcraft 50.)

2. Stage 1

   Tyre's purple-works have run out of murex. The best diver on the coast, Elissa of Sidon, hasn't sent a basket in weeks. Abimilku asked me to find out why, in Sidon, east along the coast.

3. Stage 2

   Elissa says sea serpents, the brood of Lotan, have come down the coast and frightened the divers out of the water. I should kill three of the Spawn of Lotan on the shore east of Sidon.

4. Stage 3

   The beds are safe again, and Elissa will let me gather from her murex rocks on the shore at Sidon (Marshcraft 55). Abimilku will want five shells.

   To do: Get Murex shell
5. Stage 4

   I have murex. I should bring five shells to Abimilku in Tyre.

6. Complete

   Abimilku's vats are bubbling. He taught me to steep murex into Tyrian purple, and to dye a mantle fit for a king.
