Walkthrough

The quest journal, step by step.

1. Start

   Two old soldiers in Kadesh, one Egyptian and one Hittite, are arguing about a battle that ended forty years ago. (Requires A Stranger in Men-nefer.)

2. Stage 1

   Pentaweret says Ramesses won at Kadesh; Halpaziti says Muwatalli did. Both want me to walk the Field of Kadesh, south of the town, and come back to say who held it.

3. Stage 2

   Nobody holds the Field of Kadesh except bones and crows. I should tell Halpaziti in Kadesh; knowing him, he'll want a jug of beer to go with the news.

4. Stage 3

   I gave Halpaziti the beer. He's taking it to Pentaweret. I should go and hear the end of it.

5. Complete

   Pentaweret and Halpaziti drank to Kadesh, which both of them won, and to the treaty, which both of them signed. They're still arguing, but now they're doing it together.
