Overseer Nakht-Min at the Aswan Granite Quarry is glaring at a very large, very cracked obelisk. (Requires Stonework 35.)
- Stage 1
Nakht-Min won't give up on his obelisk. He wants five blocks of granite from the quarry to read how deep the fault runs.
Updated by talking to Overseer Nakht-Min - Stage 2
The fault runs through the whole western bed. Nakht-Min will cut a smaller obelisk from sound rock, but needs a pounding stone: I should shape one from two lumps of hematite with a chisel (Stonework 35).

The stone rings true. But the workers won't return to the eastern bed while horned vipers nest in the cuts. I should kill four of them.
To do: Kill 4 × Granite viper - Stage 5
The vipers are gone. I should tell Nakht-Min.
- Complete
Nakht-Min has a new obelisk to cut. He gave me his old granite pick and taught me to dress granite into sling stones.
