Thieves of the Place of Truth
Sergeant Nebamun of the necropolis guard keeps watch at the mouth of the Valley of the Kings. He looks troubled.
Walkthrough
The quest journal, step by step.
- Start
Sergeant Nebamun of the necropolis guard keeps watch at the mouth of the Valley of the Kings. He looks troubled.
- Stage 1
Robbers have been breaking the necropolis seals. Nebamun has unsealed the Tomb of Amenmesse for me: the doorway nearest the valley mouth, on the north side. I should search the sarcophagus in its burial hall for any sign of who is behind it. Loose flagstones should be disarmed before crossing; urns are best checked for snakes before searching.

Inside the sarcophagus of Amenmesse I found an inscribed ostracon: a robbers' tally of names, tombs and shares. I should bring it to Sergeant Nebamun.
- Complete
Nebamun read the robbers' tally. The name of Paneb, foreman of the tomb-builders, is on it. He gave me the necropolis seal: every tomb in the valley is open to me, if my Tomb Raiding is up to it.
