Walkthrough

The quest journal, step by step.

1. Start

   A widow in the Abydos Market is writing on the inside of a clay bowl, crying, and crossing things out.

2. Stage 1

   Neferu's husband Baki died last Akhet. Since then the roof leaks, the goat has died and her son has married a woman from Coptos. She has written to Baki on a bowl, as is proper, asking what she did to anger him. I should take it to his tomb chapel on the desert edge north of Abydos and give it to him.

3. Stage 2

   Baki's shade read the letter. It isn't a curse: he's thirsty, because nobody has brought him beer since the funeral. I should give him a jug of beer.

   To do: Use Beer on Shade of Baki; Use Fine beer on Shade of Baki; Use Masterwork beer on Shade of Baki
4. Stage 3

   Baki drank the beer (somehow) and scratched a reply on the back of the bowl. I should take it to Neferu.

5. Complete

   Neferu read Baki's reply and laughed for the first time since Akhet. I've decided to leave a little beer at a tomb now and then.
