Walkthrough

The quest journal, step by step.

1. Start

   Harsiese, priest of Horus at Edfu, is staring at an empty perch. (Requires A Stranger in Men-nefer, Wayfaring 30 and Heka 35.)

2. Stage 1

   Every year a living falcon is crowned at Edfu as the image of Horus. This year's chosen bird flew off three days before its coronation. Harsiese sent me to ask Falconer Pahor in the Edfu Market where it might have gone.

3. Stage 2

   Pahor says the falcon chased a vulture downriver to Nekheb, the vultures' town: 'the fool bird thinks it's already king of the sky'. He gave me a falcon lure. I should go to Nekheb.

4. Stage 3

   The vultures of Nekheb have the falcon pinned on the rocks east of the town. I should drive off five of them.

   To do: Kill 5 × Vulture of Nekheb
5. Stage 4

   The vultures are scattered. I should use the falcon lure on the golden-banded falcon to call it down.

   To do: Use Falcon lure on Golden-banded falcon
6. Stage 5

   The god's falcon is on my arm, glaring. I should take it back to Harsiese in Edfu.

7. Complete

   The falcon will be crowned at Edfu. Harsiese taught me the Gate of Horus.
