Paser, priest of the temple
An old priest of the great temple at Abu Simbel, in a leopard-skin. He takes the sunrise personally, and knows every hiding place in the sanctuary.

The sun touched Ra-Horakhty this morning, a month early. He seemed pleased.
I still sit behind Ptah sometimes. He doesn't talk much, and he never asks about the beast.
The beam reaches the sanctuary again. Three gods lit, one content in the dark. Perfect.
The baboons have calmed down. They greet the sun on time, which is more than the sun manages.
Ptah sends his thanks for the darkness. I assume. He hasn't said.
