In the seventh hour, the serpent's hour, Ra's barque lies aground on Apep's sandbank. Set sits at the prow with his spear. (Requires True of Voice and Endurance 72.)
- Stage 1
Set says the vizier came through the Cleft into this hour, and before he went on east he had his dead priests lash the barque to the sandbank with serpent-cord. Eight Coil cord-binders are still tying knots in it.
To do: Kill 8 × Coil cord-binderUpdated by talking to Set, at the Prow - Stage 2
The binders are dead, but their master isn't: Iuput, Knot-Priest of the Coil, holds the end of the cord out on the sandbank, west along the bank. I must kill him.
To do: Kill 1 × Iuput, Knot-Priest of the Coil - Stage 3
Iuput is dead and the serpent-cord has crumbled to black sand. Set will want to know.
- Stage 4
The barque is free. Set says Mehen, the Coiled One who guards the sleeping sun in the barque's shrine, wants to speak to me.
Updated by talking to Set, at the Prow - Complete
Mehen has blessed me, and the serpent on the Door of the Eighth Hour knows my name. The barque will follow the night again, but the vizier is still ahead, going east toward the twelfth hour, where Apep sleeps in his coils.
