The quest journal, step by step.
- Start
Caravan-master Nakht in the Coptos market has lost something large, fast and bad-tempered. (Requires Water for the Road and Wayfaring 40.)
- Stage 1
Nakht's racing dromedary, Trouble, bolted into the Eastern Desert when hyenas fell on his caravan. Well-keeper Rensi at the Wadi Hammamat Mine sees everything that passes on the road; I should ask him which way she went.

Rensi saw Trouble heading south, towards the meteorite crater in the deep desert east of Edfu: camels, he says, like the taste of sky-iron. Nakht says she can be bribed with dates. I should use some dates on her.

- Stage 3
Trouble ate the dates, then my sleeve, and decided I'm acceptable. She set off home at a gallop, knowing the way better than I do. I should tell Nakht she's coming.
- Complete
Trouble is home, and Nakht, weeping into her neck, gave me the reins of one of her foals: the swiftest dromedary on the Hammamat road.
