The quest journal, step by step.
- Start
Mentu, an old Medjay archer who keeps the chapel of Sopdu at Serabit el-Khadim, is staring at an empty plinth. (Requires The Smile of Hathor, Archery 45, Devotion 40 and Tomb Raiding 30.)
- Stage 1
The falcon standard of Sopdu, Lord of the East, has been stolen from his chapel. Mentu says every thief in the east sells to Djar the fence in the Port Mersa market. I should ask Djar, politely.
Updated by talking to Mentu - Stage 2
Djar denied everything with the confidence of a man who has done everything. A fence keeps his tallies close: perhaps I can lift his pawn-tally from his belt.

- Stage 3
Djar's pawn-tally says the standard went to Ruti the Red 'for nine goats and a debt'. Ruti leads raiders from a camp in the north of the Sinai, west of Wadi Maghara. I should take it back from him.
To do: Kill 1 × Ruti the RedUpdated by talking to Djar the fence - Stage 4
Ruti the Red is beaten. The falcon standard should be among his spoils: I should bring it back to Mentu.
- Complete
The falcon standard stands in Sopdu's chapel again. Mentu prayed over me in the old frontier way, and Sopdu, Lord of the East, now answers my call.
