Walkthrough

The quest journal, step by step.

1. Start

   Kadita, the best brewer in Shendi, has a wedding in four days and not a drop to drink. (Requires Ropes for the Fourth Cataract and Hearth 60.)

2. Stage 1

   Warthogs trampled Kadita's sorghum south of Shendi and ate what they didn't trample. She wants five of them turned into wedding meat.

   To do: Kill 5 × WarthogUpdated by talking to Kadita the brewer
3. Stage 2

   The warthogs are dealt with. Kadita needs sorghum to start the merissa again: four bundles. Yesbokhe at the Napata caravanserai sells it, and so do the elephant lines at Musawwarat.

4. Stage 3

   Kadita has started the mash. She wants me to brew the first jug myself at a brewing vat, from two bundles of sorghum and a jug of water (Hearth 60). Napata and Meroe have vats in their bakeries.

5. Stage 4

   I've brewed a jug of merissa. I should use it on Kadita.

   To do: Use Merissa on Kadita the brewer
6. Stage 5

   Kadita is tasting the merissa, slowly, with her eyes shut. I should wait for the verdict.

7. Complete

   The merissa was a triumph, and so was the wedding. Kadita taught me how Shendi brews it.
