Kirta the horse-breeder of Kadesh has a mare, an empty paddock and a story to tell. (Requires The Mares of Astarte and Wayfaring 60.)
Stage 1
Kirta's horses descend from Victory-in-Thebes, the stallion that carried Ramesses alone through the Hittite chariots. His best mare foaled a colt with the old stallion's blaze, and the colt ran off onto the Field of Kadesh. Kirta gave me a halter that smells of the mare. I should find the colt on the battlefield south of the town.

Stage 2
The colt is out on the Field of Kadesh, but the shade-chariots of Hatti are chasing him round and round the battlefield. I should break up the chase: four shade-chariots.
To do: Kill 4 × Shade-chariot of Hatti
Stage 3
The chariots are gone and the colt is standing still, shaking. I should use Kirta's halter on him.
To do: Use Kirta's halter on Bay colt
Stage 4
The colt followed the halter home. I should tell Kirta.
Complete
Kirta says the colt chose me. He'll be ready to ride when I am: Victory-in-Thebes, of the line of Ramesses's horse.
