- Start
Nakhtsobek, Second Prophet of Sobek, is pacing beside the sacred pool in the Temple of Sobek. (Requires Devotion 15.)
- Stage 1
Petsuchos, the living crocodile of Sobek, lost a golden earring at the dawn feeding. Nakhtsobek wants it found before the First Prophet returns. I should question the three people who were near the god: Sebi the feeder at the temple, Meritites the jeweller in the Shedet Market and Ruru the boatman on the lake shore west of town. Then I should tell Nakhtsobek who took it.

I named Sebi the feeder. Nobody feeds Petsuchos with both hands, so his story was a lie. Nakhtsobek wants the earring back quietly: I could talk Sebi round, or relieve him of it with quick fingers.

- Stage 3
I have Petsuchos's earring. I should give it back to the god himself (use it on Petsuchos), and keep my fingers together.

- Stage 4
Petsuchos is wearing his earring again, and only tried to eat me a little. I should tell Nakhtsobek.

Sobek has noticed me. I may call on Sobek, Lord of the Faiyum, as my patron god (Devotion 30).
