Khnumhotep has been thinking about the serpent in the rapids. (Requires The Measure of the Nile and Endurance 50.)
Stage 1
To face the Coiled One I need Khnum's favour. Khnumhotep gave me clay from the Nilometer stairs: I should shape a ram of Khnum from it with a knife (Handicraft 30).

Stage 2
I have a clay ram. I should take it to Satet-em-hat and use it on her, so she can wash it in the goddess's flood-water.

Stage 3
The ram is blessed. The Coiled One lies where the rapids are loudest, on the cataract bank south of Aswan, past its serpent-spawn. I must kill it.
To do: Kill 1 × The Coiled One
Stage 4
The Coiled One is dead and the river is rising. I should tell Khnumhotep.
Complete
The flood has come. The cataract boatmen will run me between Aswan and Buhen, and Khnumhotep gave me a cuirass sewn from the Coiled One's scales.
