Walkthrough

The quest journal, step by step.

  1. Start

Lector-priest Amenyseneb keeps the fortress shrine at Buhen. Iamu says he knows what lies beneath the walls. (Requires Deserters of Buhen, Heka 45 and Scribing 40.)

  2. Stage 1

The deserters dug under the west wall for gold and broke open the execration deposit: red pots inscribed with the names of the fortress's enemies, smashed to break their power. The names are loose as shades. Amenyseneb needs four of them laid to rest south of the fortress so he can read the shards.

To do: Kill 4 × Nameless shadeUpdated by talking to Lector-priest Amenyseneb
  3. Stage 2

Amenyseneb has read the shards. I need a new pot to carry the names: I should shape one from clay with a knife (Handicraft 35).

    To do: Get Red pot
  4. Stage 3

I have a red pot. Now it needs the names: I should write them on it in red ink, five cakes of it (Scribing 40).

To do: Get Execration potUpdated by talking to Lector-priest Amenyseneb
  5. Stage 4

The pot is covered in names. I should use it on Amenyseneb, so he can perform the rite.

To do: Use Execration pot on Lector-priest AmenysenebUpdated by talking to Lector-priest Amenyseneb
  6. Stage 5

Amenyseneb broke the pot and every name with it but one: a name scratched out so long ago that nobody remembers it. The Unnamed has risen south of the fortress, and it must be fought.

To do: Kill 1 × The Unnamed
  7. Stage 6

The Unnamed is gone. I should tell Lector-priest Amenyseneb.

  8. Complete

Buhen's walls are quiet again. Amenyseneb taught me the Breaking of the Red Pots.
