- Start
Henuttawy, the priestess of Set in the Memphis market, has been watching the vizier's shabti. (Requires The Lady of Turquoise, Endurance 60 and Devotion 40.)
- Stage 1
Henuttawy gave me a shabti-formula, the words that make a shabti answer its master's call. If I read it to the vizier's shabti in the Memphis palace (use it on him), he should repeat the last order his master gave him.
To do: UseShabti-formula on Vizier PtahhotepUpdated by talking to Henuttawy
- Stage 2
The shabti said: 'Here I am. Prepare the House of the Seventh Hour at Abydos.' Abydos is where Osiris's head is buried, and where the dead go west into the cliffs. I should go to Abydos.
To do: Go to Abydos - Stage 3
Kasaya is waiting for me at Abydos. She looks like she's been waiting a while.
- Stage 4
While I was in Sinai, the Coil took Prince Khaemwaset from his tomb. They hold the western edge of Abydos, toward the Cleft where the dead go down. I need to cut through their zealots: eight of them.
To do: Kill 8 × Coil zealotUpdated by talking to Kasaya - Stage 5
The zealots are dead. Ikhernofret, the Chief Lector of Osiris, in the temple, knows the way to the Cleft.
- Stage 6
The vizier waits at the Mouth of the Cleft, at the western edge of Abydos, with the prince bound nearby and the dark of the Duat breathing behind him. Ptahhotep, Mouth of the Coil. This ends now.
To do: Kill 1 × Ptahhotep, Mouth of the CoilUpdated by talking to Chief Lector Ikhernofret - Stage 7
Ptahhotep is beaten, but he stepped backwards into the Cleft, smiling, and the rock opened for him and closed again. The prince is still bound in serpent-cord. I should free him.
- Stage 8
The prince is free. Henuttawy has come down from Memphis with the priests of Set; she should know what the gate means.
Updated by talking to Captive in serpent-cord - Complete
The seven scarabs poured their light together in my hands into one: Khepri's Dawn. The Gate of the Seventh Hour stands sealed at the Mouth of the Cleft. Behind it, in the Duat, the vizier waits beside the serpent, and the barque of Ra waits for a dawn that won't come unless someone goes down after it. Not yet. But soon.
