The quest journal, step by step.

1. Start

   Prophet Siamun has pilgrims waiting, and no one to carry their questions to the god. (Requires The Ram Who Nods.)

2. Stage 1

   The priests who carry the Oracle are indisposed, so I'm carrying the pilgrims' questions to the ram myself. First, Bakt the date-grower in Siwa.

3. Stage 2

   Bakt wants to know: should Bakt marry Tiaa the potter? I should put exactly that question to the ram.

4. Stage 3

   The ram nodded three times. I should take the answer to Bakt.

5. Stage 4

   Bakt is delighted. Next is Ker, the envoy of the Meshwesh, waiting in the oasis. He isn't patient.

   Ker asks, on behalf of his chief Kapur: will the Meshwesh triumph if they march on the oases? I should put it to the ram.

7. Stage 6

   The ram shook its head, twice, hard. Ker won't like that. I should tell him.

8. Stage 7

   Ker took the answer badly and swore the Ma need no sheep's permission. There's one more pilgrim: a sand-crusted stranger by the spring in Siwa.

9. Stage 8

   The stranger marches with the army of Cambyses, King of Kings, and asks: will the army reach the Oracle? I should put it to the ram.

10. Stage 9

    When I asked, the ram went rigid, stared into the west and fell over. Prophet Siamun should hear about this.

    I carried the pilgrims' questions. Siamun taught me the Gate of the Oracle, and is praying over what the ram saw.
