Walkthrough

The quest journal, step by step.

  1. Start

Something with a lion's roar and the goddess's own eyes is hunting in the hills east of Serabit el-Khadim. Priestess Sitamun has a theory. (Requires The Smile of Hathor, Devotion 30 and Hearth 30.)

  2. Stage 1

Sitamun believes the lioness in the hills is the Distant Eye: Hathor's wrath, wandering far from her temple, as in the old story Iunet still celebrates with its Festival of Drunkenness. Ra calmed his raging daughter with beer dyed red as blood. I should brew some the miners' way: a jug of beer stirred with powdered hematite.

To do: Get Red beer of the EyeUpdated by talking to Priestess Sitamun
  3. Stage 2

I have red beer of the Eye. I should pour it out before the Raging Eye in the hills east of the temple (use it on her) and be quick about it.

To do: Use Red beer of the Eye on The Raging EyeUpdated by talking to Priestess Sitamun
  4. Stage 3

The Eye lapped up the beer, swayed... and then remembered she was a lion. I must face the Raging Eye and exhaust her rage.

To do: Kill 1 × The Raging Eye
  5. Stage 4

The lioness fell, and where she fell a woman with cow's ears and a turquoise smile stood up, yawned, and strolled back towards the temple. I should tell Sitamun.

  6. Complete

Hathor has come home to Serabit el-Khadim, and Sitamun says the goddess will remember my face. She gave me a menat of the Lady and taught me Hathor's Mirror.
