- Stage 1
Pennut is sure he ate a medjed fish by mistake: the sacred fish of Per-Medjed, which swallowed a part of Osiris when Set scattered the god. He wants an amulet to make amends. Meritites the jeweller in the Shedet Market makes them.

- Stage 3
Pennut is wearing the amulet, but the fish are still staring. His wife Tamit cooked the fish; I should ask her what it really was.
- Stage 4
Tamit confessed: it was a Nile perch. She only told Pennut it was a medjed so he'd stop eating the catch before it got to market. I should tell Pennut. Gently.
