Walkthrough

The quest journal, step by step.

1. Start

The Oracle's ram has had a terrible vision. Prophet Siamun may need help. (Requires Questions for the Oracle, Devotion 35 and Heka 36. Strong foes, deep in the desert.)

2. Stage 1

The ram dreamed of an army of fifty thousand marching on the Oracle, swallowed by the sand, and also not yet marched. Siamun wants me to ask Archivist Pediese at the temple of Hibis, in Kharga Oasis, who they might be.

3. Stage 2

A scroll that wasn't there yesterday names them: the army of Cambyses, King of Kings, buried by a wind in a year that hasn't come. Their dead walk near the forgotten shrines west of Bahariya, Farafra and Dakhla. I should lay six of the sand-drowned soldiers to rest.

To do: Kill 6 × Sand-drowned soldierUpdated by talking to Archivist Pediese
4. Stage 3

Six of the drowned soldiers are at rest. One of them should carry a standard the ram would know; I should find one.

   To do: Get Sand-choked standard
5. Stage 4

I have one of the army's standards, still pouring sand. I should use it on the Oracle's ram in Siwa.

To do: Use Sand-choked standard on The Oracle's ramUpdated by talking to Archivist Pediese
6. Stage 5

The ram stared at the standard, then turned west and would not move. Their general still commands them at the forgotten shrine on the far western edge of the world, south-west of Siwa. I must put him to rest.

To do: Kill 1 × The Sand-Drowned General
7. Stage 6

The Sand-Drowned General is at rest, years before he died. I should tell Prophet Siamun.

8. Complete

I laid the lost army to rest before it was lost. Siamun gave me a prophet's mantle, a heart scarab, and the words of the Swallowing Sands.
